Following on from Salmats acquisition of Returnity / Found Agency and other Photon Group entities in late 2010, I was appointed as the Head of search within the newly formed Salmat IDR with a remit to integrate the team, build out our search capabilities and grow the business. Key achievements included: - Integration of the Found Agency / Returnity search team into Samat IDR - Managing and mentoring the search team through multiple integrations - Retaining the majority of the legacy client base across the integrations - Managing finance and forecasting at a business unit level - Growing revenue and gross profit through continuous commercial turbulence while having no market presence - Collaborated in my role as a member of the senior management team to create a clear strategic direction for Salmat IDR - Development of the search team capabilities and bandwidth by spearheading a number of strategic hires from competing agencies which grew the team from 4 to 8 FTEâs over the space of 9 months - Lead business development efforts yielding a number of wins including Perpetual, Peeptoe Shoes, Holiday Specialists, Pillowtalk.com.au, Student Edge, The Loop and Michael Hill - Delivered training to up skill and cross skill the client services team on the search offering - Developing the IDR SEM product offering through the selection and migration to an enterprise SEM management platform - Successfully overseeing the shift to content driven link acquisition tactics within the SEO team - Developing and productising social SEM (Facebook / Linkedin) campaigns - Streamlining billing and finance systems - Contributing content to nascent PR efforts
